Gentlemen, I present to you Croque Monsieur, a Sandwich where its origins are from France with a name that sounds like a cache but you will see why. Although its preparation has no science, its baked finishing touch with its layer of béchamel and melted cheese gives it a unique flavor!
Ingredients for the Croque Monsieur
• Bread slices
• Cheese (the one of your preference)
• Slices of Ham
• Bechamel sauce
• Mozzarella cheese
Preparation of the Croque Monsieur
First we assemble our sandwiches as always with their ham and their cheese. Originally it has Emmental or Gruyere cheese but serves the one of your preference. We are going to bathe them with a layer of Bechamel Sauce and on top of it grated mozzarella cheese.
We put it in the oven at 200ºC for 5 to 10 minutes (it depends on the oven) until we see that the cheese is already melted, the breads toasted and with their golden color. The lord of sandwiches! I recommend it 🙂
Here you can see a little more of the history of the Croque Monsieur, I tell you that there is also the Croque Madame that has fried egg on top but for me, this Monsieur takes the prize: http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Croque -monsieur
I recommend you see the recipe for Las Panquecas (Pancakes), very fast and super rich
