Ingredients for the Napolitana Sauce:
- 1 large onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 medium can of crushed tomatoes or 6 large ripe tomatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon of oregano
Preparation of the Neapolitan Sauce:
First we fry the onion and garlic over medium heat
When the onions are transparent add the can of crushed tomatoes, salt and pepper.
And cook for 10 to 15 minutes covered and over low heat. Finally we add the oregano and stir.
Delicious! Great for pasta too … with Parmesan cheese 🙂
