Ingredients for the Tabule
- 1 large bunch of parsley
- 2 ripe tomatoes
- 1 cup of wheat (couscous)
- 1 small onion
- 1 lime or lemon
- 4 tablespoons of Oil
- 1/4 teaspoon of Salt
Table Preparation
My son and I love lemon! And when it comes to tabulation, he prepares it (it looks great) First! We place the cup of couscous in a container with 2 cups of hot water and a pinch of salt (The measure is always 2 of water for every 1 of couscous) We cover it with a plate and leave it there untouched for 15 minutes. It will absorb the water and it will cook being consistent. There should be no water left, but if there is, you drain it with a strainer.
Meanwhile, cut the tomatoes, the onion and the parsley leaves into small squares, place in a salad bowl and stir.
When the wheat is ready we add it to the container along with the other minced ingredients. We squeeze the lime, add the oil and a pinch of salt, (I add a little less oil than I put in the normal salad) We stir everything well, and let’s eat! Always try, if you see that it lacks a little lemon you add more, it is to everyone’s taste .. 🙂 Take advantage!
