You generally use lice shampoo twice, with the second application about 7 to 10 days after the first, to kill newly hatched lice, as shampoos often miss eggs (nits). You should never use it more than twice unless a doctor advises, and always follow the product's specific instructions, using a fine-toothed comb daily between treatments to remove any remaining lice and eggs.


Can I do lice treatment 2 days in a row?

You should treat again only if there are live (crawling) lice several days after treatment. Treat again after all eggs (nits) have hatched but before new eggs are produced. If your medication kills lice but does not kill eggs, treat again about a week after the first treatment (7 – 9 days depending on the drug).
