Potatos gnocchi


Gnocchi are a type of pasta that is made from potatoes and is a typical Italian dish. Their preparation is very simple and they cook in 4 minutes, and it is ideal for when you have guests at home. They can be eaten with Neapolitan sauce, Bolognese sauce, pesto sauce, whatever you like … they are delicious anyway!

Ingredients for the Gnocchi:
• 4 large potatoes
• 400 gr of Wheat flour
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon salt

Preparation of the Gnocchi:

First we parboil the potatoes with everything and skin, peel and puree them (1). We place them on the table and add the flour, the egg and the salt (2). We mix all the ingredients with our hands until we form a dough that does not stick to our fingers (3) … you will probably need more flour so keep it close.

We take a little dough and make a cylinder that we will cut into squares (4 and 5). Then we pass each square through a fork pressing with the finger to give it the traditional shape that the gnocchi have (6)

Put them in the boiling water they will be ready when they FLOAT! that’s in 4 minutes.

Strain them. Add a tablespoon of butter, stir and serve with the sauce of your choice.
