INGREDIENTS FOR THE CESAR SALAD
• 1 romaine lettuce
• 1 egg
• 3 anchovies
• 1 clove of garlic, crushed
• 150 ml of mild olive oil or sunflower or corn oil (1/2 cup)
• 5 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
• 1/2 teaspoon mustard
• 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 2 slices of sandwich bread

Preparation of the Cesar Salad step by step
Place the egg, anchovies, crushed garlic and half a teaspoon of mustard in a container (plastic or wood). You can also do it in the blender and mix.
Little by little we are adding a little bit of the oil while continuing to blend so that it thickens. (let it fall like a thread)
When it has the consistency of mayonnaise, the dressing is ready.
Note: For my taste (and for everyone at home) the flavor of this dressing with olive oil seems very strong. For this salad we like the flavor better with sunflower or corn oil.
Preparation of the croutons:
We remove the crust from the slices of bread and cut them into squares and add to the pan and stir for two minutes until they are crisp and toasted. We remove from the fire
Heat a frying pan and add the tablespoon of butter along with one of Worcestershire sauce.
FINAL PREPARATION OF THE CESAR SALAD:
We wash the lettuce well with water and white vinegar. We drain well and cut it into pieces.
We add the lettuce in a container and add the dressing.
Add the Parmesan cheese, the other teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and the croutons. We serve and eat right away. The croutons are added when we are going to eat it and not long before because otherwise they would be moistened with the sauce and they would not be crunchy as we want. Enjoy your meal!!!
