Ingredients for preparing Chinese type sweet and sour chicken
• 1 kg of chopped chicken breast
• 2 chopped onions
• 1 red pepper and one green
• 2 egg yolks
• 1/2 cup of chicken broth
• 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
• 4 tablespoons ketchup sauce
• 4 tablespoons of sugar
• 4 tablespoons soy sauce
• 2 tablespoons of honey
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
• 4 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar

Chinese type sweet and sour chicken preparation
The first thing we will do is the batter. For this we are going to take a large bowl and we are going to add the egg yolks, the cornstarch, the pepper and mix by hand with a whisk.
Besides, we are going to season the chicken that we have cut into approximately 3 cm cubes, stir and then add it into the bowl where we have made the batter, mixing so that everything is well impregnated.
We put on the fire a pan with enough oil and when it is very hot we are going to fry each of the chicken pieces, on both sides until they are well browned.
We are going to take them out and place them on an absorbent paper to remove all the excess oil.
Now we will heat another pan with oil and we will fry the onions and peppers, which we have also cut into more or less large pieces and we will let them cook over low heat for 5 minutes .. while we prepare the sweet and sour sauce.
Preparing the sweet and sour sauce for the chicken
In another container we are going to mix: The chicken broth, the soy sauce, the sugar, the vinegar, the honey and the ketchup sauce.
Now we will add this sauce to the pan where we have been cooking the onions and peppers, which by now will have spent 5 minutes. It is important to add it when we notice that the onions are somewhat transparent but not too soft. remember that, in this dish, the vegetables should feel crunchy. We will let the sauce cook in this pan for 10 minutes so that the sauce is reduced.
After this time, the sauce is quite reduced and caramelized and it will be time to add the chicken that we had reserved. We will now cook for 5 more minutes, stirring well so that it is covered with all the caramel.
This would be the ideal time to add some mini cornrows or baby corns that do not appear in the video or in the photos because I am very clueless and I forgot to add them hahaha!
